Class for Tuesday, February 14

Happy Valentine's Day. I will not be in class today as my daughter is sick. Soemone from the history department will check you in. During the class time and for homework you can work on the following:

1. Your project which is due on Friday.
2. The final assessment which is due on Friday.
3. Post your comment on the blog about the strories you have to read from your group.
4. Be ready to share in class tomorrow the New Deal agency you had to research. You will pass those in and they need to be typed.

Please post commensts about the stories you read from your group. What did you like about the story? How did it help you learn more about the Great Depression? What historical facts did the person include?

Homework 2/10

1. Read pp. 350-354 i your text. Be ready to discuss whether the New Deal was effective or not.
2. Your story must be posted by 11:59 PM today.
3. You should start tow ork on your project.
4. The project and final assessment are dur on Friday, February 17.

2. By Tuesday you need to tell me what you are going to do for the second project.
3. For Wednesday, you need to read in your textbook, pp. 346 - 350.

Please explain two new things that you learned about Reconstruction as a result of watching the video.

On Line Seminar

We will be having an online seminar. You can start posting today and you have until Thursday morning at 8:30 AM to post. You must post at least three times. When you post, be sure you are using proper grammar and spelling. Be sure that you have evidence to support your  ideas and also make sure you are responding to other posts by your peers. The question you should discuss is: Was Reconstruction successful? You should consider its impact on the African Americans in the South, how well the Union came back together and the impact on the Southern states. If you have any questions, please let me know.
